What can I hope to achieve from signing up?

During your monthly subscription you can hope to learn the basic principles of Pilates and how Pilates can improve your posture, co-ordination, balance, muscle tone, flexibility and much more. You will have access to different levels of Pilates techniques from beginner to intermediate and advanced, you will also learn how Pilates can become part of your everyday routine and help with your wellbeing.

Who is Pilates for?

The simple answer is anybody. If you want to learn Pilates from scratch, continue to improve your technique or just practice Pilates with professional video tuition in your own time then you are in the right place.

How does the site work?

The site is designed to fit around you, you can do a Pilates class anytime you like, once you have signed up you have unlimited access to the content for which ever package you have chosen.

What support is included with the course?

Along with the professional step by step narrated tutorial videos you will also have access to support from me via Facebook, Twitter and E-Mail. If you have any questions or require any advice with your Pilates course you’re in good hands.

Do I require any special equipment for the Pilates course online?

I have created these classes to allow you to learn Pilates with out needing any specialist equipment, knowledge or even a vast amount of space. Handy but optional equipment such as Therabands, loose suitable clothing and a Pilates mat is needed.

Can I do Pilates if I have back pain?

Pilates will improve strength in the abdominals and core which can assist in improving back pain and management of injury, try to avoid exercises that hurt your back and stick to the basics. Once you know the fundamentals of Pilates and have mastered the basic principles you should feel an improvement and you can continue slowly and steadily until you feel confident to move onto the next level.

Can I do the Pilates course if I am pregnant?

These classes are not suitable for pregnant women so we don’t recommend trying them. Pilates during pregnancy is safe and effective but should only be carried out with a Pilates instructor who is qualified in pre and post natal Pilates.

Can I do Pilates after an injury?

Try the beginners level first and take it steady, build up gradually and rest between exercises. Consult your doctor before taking part.

If you are planning on taking part in this pilates program please make sure you are fully fit and healthy. Beginners should start slowly and build up gradually or restrict your activities to those which are safe for you.

If you are over 69 years of age and you are not used to being very active please check with your doctor before participating in any exercise program.

If you have a heart condition you should only do exercise recommended by a doctor.

Make sure you are in a safe environment with plenty of space, wear the correct clothing and have a bottle of water to hand.
